Fairview’s Eagle Festival began Oct. 10 with a parade. Each high school class contributed a float tying athletics to a Dr. Seuss book. Bobbi Ross was named 2025 grand marshal in honor of her work an Eagle Festival organizer.

Fairview senior Shane Snyder is getting ready to visit Columbia University in New York City later this month.

The weather was sunny and warm for Clinton Township’s Pumpkin Festival at Skyline Event Center Oct. 4.

The Leroy Maxie Memorial Cross Country Invitational was held at the Oscoda County Fairgrounds Oct. 4. Fairview’s boys’ cross country team placed first against runners from Boyne Falls, Charlton Heston Academy, Hale, Mio Ausable, North Trails and Tawas.

Eagle Festival Parade, the annual fall fundraiser to benefit the athletic program at Fairview Area Schools, begins with a parade Friday, Oct. 10 and ends with a golf scramble Sunday, Oct. 12.

Oscoda County Sheriff Taylor Kann spoke to the Herald Sept. 29 about an incident at Fairview Area School.

Fairview’s cross country team, along with Charlton Heston Academy, Hale, Lincoln-Alcona, Mio Ausable, Oscoda, Rogers City and Tawas, belongs to the North Star League. The schools compete against each other in NSL Jamborees, four consecutive Tuesday races.
