Festive fall events in Oscoda County
Fairview’s Eagle Festival began Oct. 10 with a parade. Each high school class contributed a float tying athletics to a Dr. Seuss book. Bobbi Ross was named 2025 grand marshal in honor of her work an Eagle Festival organizer.

Clear skies for Pumpkin Festival
The weather was sunny and warm for Clinton Township’s Pumpkin Festival at Skyline Event Center Oct. 4.

Eagle Festival Parade, the annual fall fundraiser to benefit the athletic program at Fairview Area Schools, begins with a parade Friday, Oct. 10 and ends with a golf scramble Sunday, Oct. 12.

Veterans and supporters pitch concert at Rose City Park
Area veterans and volunteers hosted a free concert at Rose City Park Saturday, Sept. 27, bringing musical acts from as far as Kalamazoo. Local sound production and event services professionals Steve Lull and John Woolard hosted the event with the City of Rose City.

Quilt walk showcases West Branch
The 40th annual West Branch Quilt Walk begins Thursday, Oct. 2 in downtown West Branch and concludes Saturday, Oct. 4. The show is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The event is presented by the Rifle River Quilt Guild and West Branch Creative Arts Association to benefit Rea Family Animal Shelter.
