The most wonderful time
All you could want in a holiday celebration was found at Christmas in Fairview Dec. 6. What if Jack Frost was nipping at your nose? There was hot chocolate, hot coffee and freshly popped popcorn at the Town Square, hot soup and hot dogs across the street.
Remembering Otis Wellington Henry
Mio Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4126 was established June 10, 1945. It was named for Otis Wellington Henry of Mio.
“He wasn’t even on the [ship] a month when Pearl Harbor was attacked,” VFW Commander Roger Stitt said.
Parade of Lights 2024

Two traffic accidents on M-33 over holiday weekend
The Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office released two public announcements on social media over the weekend related to what they called significant traffic crashes that resulted in temporary closures of M-33 over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
County jails work together through evolving conditions
The Ogemaw County Correctional Facility, where Oscoda County inmates had been staying, converted to a 72-hour lock-up and notified Oscoda County that their inmates would need to be moved.
