BOC advances plan for new law enforcement facility

The Oscoda County Board of Commissioners agreed to take the steps needed to continue plans to construct a new building for the Sheriff’s Office during its Aug. 8 meeting. The board approved a motion of intent to move forward with a bond issue through Mercantile Bank in the amount of $2 million, for up to 10 years; to retain bond attorney Roger Swets, and to continue with the building project.
