Both Mio Scout troops are now selling Girl Scout cookies individually via in-person paper orders or through each Scout’s individual online site. Troop #8845 will have booth sales Fridays and Saturdays at Mio Family Fare, beginning Feb. 28 and continuing through Mar. 29. Friday hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Girl Scouts of Troop #8845 have voted for a goal to see the ocean this year.

Elk Country Animal Shelter and Dr. Jordan Guy sponsored a vaccine clinic for dogs Jan. 18 in Fairview and Mio. Oscoda County residents brought their dogs to get their shots and renew licenses.
