The publication date of the Oscoda County Herald has been changed to Thursday, effective Nov. 9. The change was rather abrupt, and consequently, the Nov. 9 edition was delivered to the post office a day late. I’m very sorry for the disruption to your news routine. If everything goes as planned in the future, the Herald will be on newsstands Wednesday afternoon, and in mailboxes Thursday.
The publication date has changed, but other deadlines remain the same. The paper is still produced and sent to the printer on Monday, so deadlines for classified ads, display ads, legal notices and obituaries remain the same.
If you are sending me editorial content – photos, birth announcements, event preview information or items to be included on the upcoming events list – the sooner the better.
There is not a reporter for the Ogemaw County Herald at this time. As editor, I am responsible for finding content for that paper as well as this one. I welcome content from you. If you know anyone who dreams of being a newspaper reporter, send them my way.
