Wavard Randolph “Randy” Williams Sr., 81, of Luzerne passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at his residence.

Randy was born in Leland, Miss., on May 31, 1937, a son of the late Clara May (Johnson) and William Riley Williams. He moved to Michigan and settled in Dryden, and graduated from Dryden High School. He married Joyce on Sept. 24, 1960, in Keego Harbor. He worked as a high-low driver for General Motors Truck and Bus in Pontiac. The couple retired to Luzerne 17 years ago. He was a former member of the Mio Moose Lodge. Randy was an avid and accomplished pool player, winning many trophies. He also enjoyed horseshoes and driving his Nova race car, “Bad to the Bone.”

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Ann Williams; children, Andrew (Connie) Williams, April (Dave) Copp, Randy Williams Jr., Candice Williams and Steven Williams; grandchildren, Brandy, Jason, Erica, Ashlee, Nicole, Katlyn and Hunter; 12 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; and one great-great-grandchild on the way as well.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Luzerne American Legion Post.
