Eagles close out season with high-scoring game against Mio AuSable


FAIRVIEW — Despite a strong showing in its final game against Mio AuSable, the Fairview boys basketball team has closed out its season suffering three defeats.

The first of the three was against Oscoda. Fairview lost 32-63 and the lead scorer for the evening was Jesse Yoder with 13 points. The next loss was against Hillman Feb. 22, 37-51.

The team’s final game of the season was during the district championship preliminary round at Atlanta Feb. 27. Fairview played Mio AuSable in a high-scoring affair. Mio ended up running away with the victory in a game that ended 73-57. Coach Troy Ross said Yoder had a very strong showing that evening, scoring 28 points on his own.
