Council on aging to host Summer Picnic

Posted

MIO β€” The Oscoda County Council on Aging is celebrating the end of summer with its Summer Picnic Sept. 6.

The event is free and open to everybody, and is a way for the council on aging to give back to the community, Activities Coordinator Rich Lloyd said.

β€œIt’s the council on aging wanting to show people what we do and have the community come out and listen to some free music and eat a hotdog and a hamburger, and different salads,” he said.

Local musician Sydni K will be performing.

The event runs from 5-6 p.m. at the senior center, located at 429 N. Mount Tom Rd.
