Charles (Punk) Blaine Galbraith, 84, of Mio passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2020.

Punk was a lifetime member of the Mio community and had a large circle of relatives and friends. He spent many years working highway construction on the road but always called Mio his home. In his later years, he loved playing cards with his family (especially at the “Juke Joint”), being outdoors, vacationing in Florida and, most of all, hanging out with his best friend, Gordy.

Punk is survived by his children, Yvonne (Gale) Galbraith Albright, Blaine (Patty) Galbraith, Brian Galbraith and his second daughter, Denise Peters-Smith. He is also survived by his siblings, Darold Galbraith, Barb (Ron) Willobee and Alice (Joe) Stone; grandchildren, Chaz and Kayra Albright, Dana (Jim) Parker, Steve Green and Carl Gossman; great-grandson, Marcus; and several nieces and nephews.

Punk was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents, Chester and Rosella; and his grandson, Eli Green.

A celebration of his life is being planned for early summer, details to follow. We hope that family and community members will join us in this celebration.
