Rockin’ the festival

There was fun for people of all ages at the second annual Red, White and Blue-Collar Festival June 10-11 in downtown Mio. The event opened Friday evening with a comedy show and live music. There was a car show, a beer tent, cornhole and lumberjack competition, and activities for kids Saturday afternoon. The event concluded with live music Saturday evening.

Folk music at the fairgrounds

The Nor-east’r Music & Art Festival brought great music back to the Oscoda County Fairgrounds June 10-12. Folk music fans welcomed the festival back after a two-year pandemic hiatus. The festival is put on by the AuSable Valley Nor-east’r Association of Folk. AVNAF brought 29 acts to the festival this year.  

Tractors on parade

Tractor fans of all ages can see a variety of machines in action at the Oscoda County Fairgrounds. The AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club is holding its 16th annual engine and tractor show Friday and Saturday, June 24-25, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
