Garden club in Mio begins its new season in April As I look out my window at the garden resting beneath a patchy blanket of snow, I’m reminded of a quote by Luther Burbank, American botanist and pioneer in agricultural science: “Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle.” In March, I wait, more or less patiently, for that miracle. I know that soon there will be demure snowdrops and crocuses blooming around the patio, followed by showy daffodils and tulips, the precursor to another season of glorious color.
