Nancy A. Lupo

Died February 14, 2022

Nancy A. Lupo, age 77, of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan on Monday, February 14, 2022.

Nancy was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on January 25, 1945, to John and Sarah (Scott) Schild.

Nancy’s life was the epitome of red, her favorite color. Her passion and love for those around her was immense. There wasn’t an unkind word that ever escaped her. The mother of three beautiful boys, Nancy devoted her life to creating and cultivating their hearts and minds. Any cat who was ever in need could find a home in her. She and her husband Jim spent their golden years in her late parent’s cabin, where they welcomed their grandchildren to the love filled, wooden escape. She was the center point of a family who have always seen her as the kindest and funniest woman to grace their lives. Nancy’s selflessness will never be forgotten, and her warm smile and quick come backs made her a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and woman.

Nancy was a very active person; she was involved in many groups and activities. She was a Jacette, a CCD teacher, a Den Mother, and a member of Today for Me. She was active at St. Mary’s Church in Jackson, Michigan as well as St. Mary’s Church in Mio, Michigan. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus.

Nancy is survived by her husband, James A. Lupo; her children: Peter (Cathy) Lupo and Mike Lupo; her grandchildren: Jesslynn (Ryan) Lupo, Kirsten (Jeff) Atchinson, Amberly Lupo, Nick Lupo, Maddie Peterson, Kristian Lupo, Rachael Peterson, Anthony Lupo, Hannah Peterson, Elliot Lupo, Michael Peterson, and Clara Lupo. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren: Robbie and Gabriel Silvestri, and Rowan Hernandez; her brother-in-law, Gene Jones; and other family members:  Kayre Lupo, Kathy Natale, and Ann Sniderman.
