Jim Hauk, 86, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home in Curran Michigan.
He was born in Fort Gratiot Township of Ohio on November 14, 1934 to the late Elma (Kuhn) Hauk-Miklovich and Jack Hauk.
Jim joined the Army in 1951 and fought in the Koran War. He left the service as a technical sergeant in 1955 with two Bronze Service Stars. Jim returned to truck driving and retired from Michigan Bulk Transportation in 1997. He was a member of the Mitchell Citizens Watch and Lions Club.
He is survived by his three sons, David of Mt. Pleasant, Duaine M. of Saginaw and Dale (Beverly) of Pinconning MI; eight grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Aaron, Shaute’, Sammie, DJ, Amy and Jennifer and many great-grandchildren; one brother, Ken (Ann) Crorey and several nieces and nephews, friends and family in Curran and Mio, Michigan, especially the Paddle Inn and Ellies 12 Table help and customers.
He was preceded in death by his son, Doug and brother, Robert Frank Hauk.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 6 p.m. with Pastor JoAnn Roth presiding. Cremation has already taken place. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 12 p.m. until time of service. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to contact the family.
