District Health Department No. 2 vaccination update Free Access

District Health Department No. 2, serving Alcona, Iosco, Ogemaw, and  Oscoda Counties, would like to take the opportunity to update area residents on the status of COVID-19 vaccinations given by DHD2 in the jurisdiction. To date, a total of 2,343 first doses have been administered by DHD2, with 350 second doses being administered as well. Additionally, DHD2 has distributed 630 doses to local partners.

As DHD2 continues to move forward in the mass vaccination process, additional clinics are being planned as vaccine becomes available. Those clinics will be filled using the pre-registration queue.

On Monday, Feb. 8,  570 doses of first COVID-19 vaccinations will be administered at the Ogemaw County Fairgrounds. Appointments for this clinic are currently being made. Also, on Friday, Feb. 5, and Saturday, Feb. 6, an additional 743 second doses will be administered.

To pre-register for up-coming mass vaccination clinics, go to the DHD2 website at www.dhd2.org and click on the red banner. Complete the form in its entirety providing all the necessary information. You will know your form submission is successful when you receive the “Thank You” message after hitting the submit button.

IT IS IMPORTANT to note that completing the form is a pre-registration and does not  register you for a particular clinic. DHD2 staff are reaching out to individuals via phone call when an appointment date and time become available.

Please do not show up to a clinic without a specific appointment date and time.

If  you are elderly and unable to register on-line, please call the Region 9 Area Agency on  Aging for assistance at 989-358-4899.
