Died January 26, 2021

Bettie Lee Hier of Davison, 78, formerly of Mio died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Ascension-Genesys. 

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be on the family plot in Kittle Cemetery, Mio Michigan. Those desiring may make contributions in Bettie’s memory to the charity of your choice.

Bettie was born in Pinconning, Michigan on January 17, 1943, the daughter of the late Dale and Evelyn (Burpee) Persall. She has lived in the Davison community since 1982 spending most of her life in the Mio area. Bettie attended Mio High School and was a proud graduate of the class of 1961. She had a great love for animals especially horses and dogs. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and attending Classic Car Shows and was a regular attendee at the Davison Car Cruises. She actively supported the Volunteers of America and was a proud member of the Spark Plug City CB Club. Bettie felt her greatest accomplishment was becoming a Beauty Operator for many years and later became an Instructor for Mr. David’s Beauty School.

Surviving are children, Yolonda (Stephen) Clark, Anthony Cramer, Jackie Jo Garcia and step-daughter, Rebecca Romano. Also she leaves her twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She leaves her siblings, Dale Persall Jr., Richard Persall, Kate Burgoon, Trudy Russell and a host of extended family and friends. 

She is preceded in death by step-children, Keith Cramer, Kitty Cramer, and siblings, Leonard Persall, Carla Tasker and Sandy Irelan. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net.
