Nadelle Fournier
Customer Service and Classified Sales

Nadelle started working at the Ogemaw County Herald in June 2014.

She was born in Nashville, but has lived in Michigan since she was two. She said her hands are scarred because she fell in a fire that same year her family moved here. She has three brothers, three sisters and two step-brothers. Being a middle child, she took to observing everyone around her and experimented with trying to be invisible. It didn’t work. So now she said she talks too much and way too fast because she has so much to say and so little time to say it.

On any given summer day, Nadelle can go outside and find a four-leaf clover as if it was waiting for her to discover its whereabouts. Being overstocked with luck due to this unique gift she inherited from a great-great-grandfather on her father’s side, she usually doesn’t need to keep the four-leaf clovers she finds. Since she has no problem finding or making luck, she tries to share it as often as she can with those in need who cross her path. Making people smile is a hobby of hers.

As far as hobbies go, Nadelle said she has more than one person should probably have.

“I love singing, dancing, drawing, painting, cleaning, cooking, baking, eating (totally a hobby), dressing up, hats, writing stories, songs, poems, star gazing, fishing, karaoke, pool, kayaking, euchre, fluffy socks, dreaming, sleeping, drinking tea, watching movies, reading books, need I really go on?” she joked. “I think that’s enough for now.”

One thing that she is proud to have done, and would certainly do again if the opportunity arose, would be skydiving.

“I’d also like to go to Iceland, write a book, paint a masterpiece, and invent something worthwhile,” Nadelle remarked with a wistful air. “Nothing too ambitious. Wish me luck!”
