GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — There are currently no suspects or new pieces of evidence in the Red Oak Café arson investigation yet, but the investigation is still in its early stages.
Michigan State Police Fire Marshal Dale Hardy said information is still being collected and sought out by investigators.
“I’m just waiting for a little bit of information, and also for some people to call in with some information,” Hardy said.
He added that MSP troopers doing a follow-up investigation are expected to provide him with some details in the case soon.
The Red Oak Café in Greenwood Township had been closed and for sale for about a year when it burned down Aug. 14. It was confirmed as arson by Hardy Aug. 17.
Anyone with information on the fire can call 800-44-ARSON (800-442-7766).
Check back for more information when it is available.
