On Sunday, February 7, 2010 annual Rose City Snow Box Racing was held at Houghton Creek Park. With beautiful sunny skies and moderate temperatures, racers competed in cardboard box racers to the finish line at the bottom of the big hill. Heat winners were Jayden Hall, Shiann Eddens and Cara Scott; with trophies going to Chase Slatri for Most Original, Jayden Hall for Best Design, and Cara Scott for Most Colorful. The event is sponsored by the Holy Family Knights of Columbus with prizes donated by First Bank of Rose City and Independent Bank.
